Becoming a new mom and choosing to breastfeed are hard work, but also adding in being a working, breastfeeding mom made the work even harder. When I was faced with going back to work after having my son I was clueless as to how to prepare. I found the WorkWell NC Breastfeeding Moms Returning to Work or School Toolkit to be so helpful in helping me prepare myself and my son for when I went back to work when he was 12 weeks old and how to help me plan my day with expressing milk. I even shared it with my fellow co-worker who had a baby shortly after I returned to work and she found it helpful and helped ease her into the working, breastfeeding mom role as well. I plan to share the toolkits with my patients to help them as it helped me.
